Hippokrates in Seesen

We had a very nice motorhome dinner yesterday. Even when we parked a few meters further, we were served very friendly and provided with delicious food and drinks. In the photo we had almost finished eating 🙂

I've known this restaurant for about 20 years and I'm still thrilled. The food is one of the best in the whole district, especially those who generally like to be Greek should try this restaurant urgently! The service is also very nice, the furnishings are nice, also suitable for large family celebrations. Keep it up!

I don't know where they eat here, otherwise they don't write well. Probably just the putty from their windows. We had our wedding there three years ago and all guests were thrilled. Since then we have been eating there at least once a month and have never been disappointed, neither by the kitchen nor by the staff. We don't eat the putty from our windows either. That's why we love to eat here. Stay as you are because you are the best.

Secluded, Greek restaurant with a nice outdoor area at the spa gardens of Seesen. Idyllic location. Good food at fair prices. Service is friendly and quick. As a greeting there was already a quzo when we left, another one. We will be happy to come back.

The Greek restaurant "Hippocrates" can be found in 38723 Seesen, just outside and hidden, in Granestrasse 1. Based on the positive reviews, I decided to visit "Hippocrates" with my family. From the outside, the restaurant looks like the club restaurant of a sports club. The location itself can be reached via a staircase - since there is obviously no ramp or anything similar, it is not suitable for wheelchair users or guests with walking difficulties. There are sufficient parking spaces in front of the restaurant. The dining room and the furnishings are getting old, but still look clean and tidy. Tables with tablecloth, candle and fresh flower, chairs comfortable. A waitress appeared at our table shortly after our arrival to take our order. When the drinks were served, we found that they did not match our order - but something like that can happen ...... The menu offers a variety of different dishes. A Greek evening buffet is also offered every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Argentinian rum steak with a side dish for € 18.90 and the grilled salmon fillet with a side dish for € 17.90 were delicious, the vegetarian pizza and the garlic bread with mozzarella cheese were also well received. The evening buffet for € 13.90 was very manageable and unfortunately not very tasty - lukewarm fries, chewy, dry and almost cold gyros and lukewarm, sticky pasta were not what I expected ... The order of the gyro in metaxa sauce was unfortunately forgotten and only served on request when everyone else at the table was already done with the meal - for this, drinks and salads that were not ordered were brought to our table, which we did, however, drop back. Since everyone deserves a second chance, we reserved another table in "Hippocrates". Almost identical order of the dishes as for the first visit - however, the taste of the dishes was not so well received this time. Except for trying not to serve Zaziki, service ok. The third and last visit to "Hippocrates" was unsatisfactory due to the poor service and without a feel-good factor. Table reservation for three people on a Saturday afternoon. Order drinks three soft drinks plus two coffees. Three coffees were served, one coffee in a dirty cup, plus soft drinks. Vegetarian pizza overloaded with tomato, other dishes ok. Order gyros in metaxa sauce ..... The salad was served with the other starters, after 40 minutes the chips, the gyros in metaxa sauce was finally on the table after another 30 minutes. Apparently, the order of the gyro was forgotten even though the restaurant was not overcrowded and only a few tables were occupied. Conclusion: price-performance ratio rarely coherent, quality of prices very different. In spite of a note, drinks are rarely served as ordered, some meals simply forgotten. Prices not cheap as often stated in other reviews, but as usual in Seesen. Operation friendly, faulty service possibly due to lack of attention and / or lack of communication between service and counter / kitchen.

It is a very friendly and experienced team. The food is delicious and there is a wide choice. On Fridays and Saturdays there is also a buffet which I highly recommend. On the whole it is a great restaurant. 👍
